High Altitude Training Camp
The benefits of training at altitude are becoming well know and very popular among endurance athletes.  We offer the ideal conditions to help you acclimatize gradually in order reap the greatest benefits from shorter stays at altitude.  
Our camp begins with the idea of sleep high, train low. During the first 3 days of your stay you will sleep at an elevation of 8,800 ft. at Durango Mountain Resort, and train at an elevation of 6,500 ft. in the town of Durango. This will start the initial acclimatization and provide a gradual introduction to high altitude training before beginning to train at much higher altitudes.
During the next phase of the camp, training takes place at altitudes up to 11,000 ft. for cycling and 13,000 ft. for running! During this phase you will be staying at lower elevation in Durango to optimize recovery.  
Our high altitude camps can accommodate the training needs of cyclists, runners, and triathletes. All training sessions will be led by a local athlete. Duration and intensity can be modified according to your personal fitness level and goals. A consult with one of our coaches prior to camp will help you determine your exact training schedule for the length of your stay.   
We recommend a minimum of 6 days in order to begin to reap the benefits of altitude training. We can accommodate for whatever length of stay you choose beyond that. 
        Prices begin at $1200 for 6 days and 5 nights and include 3 nights of lodging in a condo at Durango Mountain Resort, 2 nights lodging in Durango, transportation, a personalized high altitude training plan, and training sessions with local athletes.  You will also receive 20% off any physiological testing during your stay.
